Unity in Disasters, in partnership with Urban Fellowship, has provided monthly nearly 2,000 lbs. of produce, dairy, and/or non-perishables to the Lord’s Light House food pantry at New Covenant Church in Wimauma, FL. This food is provided monthly to help feed children and migrant workers in the community. We were able to transport food weekly in June 2022 through a donor in St. Pete, FL that helped while school was out for the summer. On Saturday, July 30, 2022, we provided nearly 4,000 lbs. of food to help support a back-to-school event hosted by New Covenant Church. For the remainder of 2022, we have committed to supporting this pantry in addition to one other community in the Tampa Bay area that will benefit from Unity in Disasters partnership and outreach. Below are images from back-to-school 2022 event and some food products from our donors.
